Carolyna Marshall, Board Chair, Community Outreach Coordinator, and Community Dinner POD Leader

Carolyna Marshall is the glue that binds and holds this organization together. Serving as the Board Chair, Community Outreach Coordinator, and Community Dinner POD Leader

As the 1st Phoenix Community Center Outreach Liaison and Elder at the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church congregation, her ability to touch the hearts of people and bring them into the circle of good deeds is invaluable to this organization and a true asset to local community.

Glenda Crenshaw, Vice Chair & Pantry POD Leader

Glenda Crenshaw serves as the Vice Chair of the board, she is also the Pantry POD leader and the inspiration behind the framework of the 1st Phoenix Community Center.

She is and has been a leader in the City of Phoenix and Jackson County community for many years and is invaluable for her efforts and contributions in this organization.

Mona Brooks, Treasurer

Mona Brooks joined the 1st Phoenix Community Center board in 2018 as Treasurer and then was voted in as Board Secretary in 2019.

She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon and met and married a man from Rogue Valley while attending Oregon Tech. Mona has a bachelor’s degree in General Business Management from Boise State University. She has had a variety of positions in various occupations but mostly as an office manager or as a supervisor. She retired in 2020 so she could devote more time to volunteering with the Community Center feeling that she could make an impact on the organization with the vast skills she possesses.

Eddie Dudley, Member at Large

Eddie moved to Phoenix, Oregon in 1990. He has been a member of the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church since 2011.

He was asked to serve as a deacon and session member and has proudly served his congregation in that capacity since 2014. He is a devoted and active member of the church serving as Usher during Sunday worship. He is retired and enjoys various hobbies including collecting classic model cars, helping out in the garden at his apartment complex, helping his neighbors when and where he is able.He has served on the 1st Phoenix Community Center board since 2019. 

Evelyn Henderson, Clothes Closet Pod Leader

Evelyn is the Clothes Closet POD leader and a long time Phoenix resident. Evelyn retired from a career as Special Programs Supervisor at the Southern Oregon Education Service District. She brings to the 1st Phoenix Community Center her strong organizational and personnel management skills. Evelyn is also a Green Bag Captain in her neighborhood and volunteers on Friday’s to stock food products for the Saturday Food Pantry.

Her favorite program is the Bombas ‘Buy a pair-Donate a pair…’ free sock program and has facilitated the distribution of 15,000 pairs of FREE Bombas socks to local schools and shelters throughout Jackson and Josephine County.

David Charlton, Member at Large

David joined the board in 2023 after having been a volunteer with the Phoenix Food Project since he moved into the Phoenix area in 2020.

A graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, David currently holds the position of Vice President of Strategic Execution at Rogue Credit Union. Drawing on his experience in strategy development and project management, he hopes to leverage his skills for the betterment of the Phoenix community.

A long-time resident of Jackson County, David is excited to support the 1st Phoenix Community Center as the organization continues its history of making a difference in our community.
